ARAB WORLD FESTIVAL OF MONTREAL
A festival unlike any other in Canada, and perhaps in the whole of the Western world," as Le Devoir once observed, the Festival du Monde Arabe de Montréal (FMA) is an event devoted to the meeting and dialogue of Arab and Western cultures. Through its four strands — Performing Arts, Culture Salon, Cinema, and Espace Aleph — the FMA presents contemporary works that speak to both heritage and lived experience, together with original creations in dance, music, theatre, multidisciplinary arts, and visual and media arts.
A genuine crossroads of artistic currents and directions that fosters reflection and experimentation, the FMA is open to artists of every cultural background, as well as to fellow presenters and producers from here and elsewhere, to create a foremost site of exchange and creation.
