FESTIVAL DU CINÉMA LATINO-AMÉRICAIN DE MONTRÉAL
The 15th edition of the Festival de Cinéma Latino-Américain de Montréal celebrates the richness, intensity, and imagination of Latin American cinema. This year’s program brings together great masters such as Alejandro Jodorowsky and Lucrecia Martel, alongside bold new voices from across the region. Argentina is the country of honor of this edition, with five films in the lineup, including the iconic Academy Award–winning classic La Historia Oficial.
Representing 9 countries, the festival offers a vibrant mosaic of stories exploring history, identity, memory, politics, love, and the beautiful contradictions of Latin American life. The program also highlights two major cultural passions: La Salsa Vive, a documentary tracing the origins and global resurgence of salsa, and Mistura, a cinematic celebration of Peruvian gastronomy.
Directors and actors will be present to introduce their films and engage with audiences, turning each screening into a space for dialogue, discovery, and, at times, lively debate.
Join us April 16–26 at Cinéma du Parc and Cinéma du Musée for ten days of cinema that moves, challenges, and celebrates the vitality of Latin American storytelling.
