Social Media & Content Creation Manager

Cinéma Cinéma, which includes Cinéma Beaubien, du Parc, and du Musée, is seeking a Social Media & Content Creation Manager.

Reporting to the Programming Director and under the supervision of the Senior Communications Advisor, this person develops and implements social media strategies and oversees the graphic needs of our cinemas.

Main responsibilities

Social Media Management (60%)

  • Plan and execute social media strategies;
  • Establish the social media activity calendar for the three cinemas – Facebook, Instagram, Letterboxd;
  • Prepare social media posts – writing, selecting visuals, publishing;
  • Respond to comments and private messages, and manage, engage, and monitor the community on a daily basis;
  • Create promotional visuals and videos for social media;
  • Coordinate photo shoots and video recordings;
  • Monitor and moderate comments and reviews on Google Business;
  • Update and optimize performance reports;
  • Develop relevant content partnerships;
  • Stay informed of trends and best practices.

Graphic Design (40%)

  • Create visuals to promote event programming and adapt them for all channels (e.g., in-cinema posters, ads, social media, etc.);
  • Occasionally create advertising visuals;
  • Occasionally produce signage for cinemas;
  • Format certain administrative documents (e.g., annual reports).

Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, graphic design, or equivalent;
  • At least three (3) years of experience in similar roles;
  • Knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, Letterboxd, and other platforms;
  • Familiarity with social media management tools (e.g., Asana, Hootsuite, Monday, etc.);
  • Proficiency in image editing and video editing software;
  • Strong interest in cinema and culture;
  • Availability to attend events at our cinemas in the evenings and on weekends.

  • Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken;
  • Attention to detail and rigor;
  • Team spirit.

Working conditions

  • Salary according to the market;
  • Work schedule: 5 days per week (37.5 hours) at the office located at 6415 Des Écores and at cinemas during events (evenings and weekends);
  • Start date: End of February 2026.
