MARCHE AU PAYS RÉEL
Synopsis
TERRES D’AVENTURE FESTIVAL IN MONTREAL
MARCHE AU PAYS RÉEL
Attempting to link southern Quebec to its northernmost point over 2,750 km by bike and ski, in the heart of winter, adventurers Samuel Lalande-Markon and Simon-Pierre Goneau seek to reclaim the land and reflect on the identity and collective relationship Quebecers maintain with it. Their journey begins at kilometer marker 720, an obelisk-shaped monument on the U.S. border, and ends at Cape Anaulirvik, north of Ivujivik, the northernmost point of the Ungava Peninsula. Over 91 days, they set out to encounter the country in all its immensity, splendor and raw power.
Screening followed by a discussion with filmmaker Caroline Côté. A complimentary drink will be offered after the session for a time of meeting and exchange.
