About
Afghanistan, Spring 2002. Forced to marry a 65-year-old man, 15-year-old Zarmina flees her country for Montreal. But her freedom comes at a price: one day, her daughter will have to marry her cousin who remained in Kabul. Fifteen years later, the pact resurfaces. Zarmina refuses the same fate for her daughter.
