Synopsis
Afghanistan, Spring 2002. Forced to marry a 65-year-old man, 15-year-old Zarmina flees her country for Montreal. But her freedom comes at a price: one day, her daughter will have to marry her cousin who remained in Kabul. Fifteen years later, the pact resurfaces. Zarmina refuses the same fate for her daughter. Her fight for freedom turns into tragedy.
