Synopsis
On an offshore platform, a scientist unable to dream kidnaps children to steal their dreams, hoping to ward off old age. When his little brother disappears, One, a gentle giant, sets out to find him with the help of Miette, a resourceful and courageous young orphan. Their search leads them through a harbour city teeming with sinister characters, where outlandish inventions meet the darkest nightmares. Blending a dark fairy tale with fantastical adventure, Jean-Pierre Jeunet and Marc Caro conjure a richly imagined world where tenderness and solidarity endure in the face of darkness.
