Synopsis
1815. Jean Valjean is released from the penal colony, broken and rejected by all. Wandering without purpose, he finds refuge with a man of the Church, his sister, and their servant. Faced with this outstretched hand, Jean Valjean falters and, in this suspended night, must choose who he wants to become.
