About Chien Champion
Felipe Arriagada-Nunez, also known as Chien Champion, is a Montreal-based illustrator known for his colorful and expressive worlds where everyday life turns into magic.
Born in 1997 in Montreal to Chilean parents, he grew up between Mile-End, Saint-Laurent, and Laval, at the heart of a vibrant artistic patchwork. From a young age, his imagination absorbed the colors and energy of Latin American folk art, French and Cuban movie posters from the 1970s and ’80s, as well as comic books.
With his warm colors and imperfect line work, Felipe does more than just draw: he tells stories teeming with life, celebrating human warmth and our shared culture, with a touch of nostalgia.
