Synopsis
This film was selected by the Cinéma du Musée, in collaboration with the MBAM, to highlight the exhibition RICHARD AVEDON: IMMORTAL – Portraits of the Passage of Time, 1951–2004.
Icon of photography, Richard Avedon shaped the visual imagination of an entire era. The character of Dick Avery, played by Fred Astaire, is inspired by him, and Avedon even created several of the photographs seen on screen.

Synopsis : Dispatched on an assignment, New York City-based fashion photographer Dick Avery (Fred Astaire) is struck by the beauty of Jo Stockton (Audrey Hepburn), a shy bookstore employee he's photographed by accident, who he believes has the potential to become a successful model. He gets Jo to go with him to France, where he snaps more pictures of her against iconic Parisian backdrops. In the process, they fall for one another, only to find hurdles in their way.
