Grace, a beautiful woman on the run from mobsters, arrives in the small community of Dogville. Tom, the town’s self-proclaimed leader, convinces the residents to hide Grace in exchange for work. But when a “Missing” poster with her name goes up, the townspeople feel justified in demanding compensation, given the risks involved in hiding her. Grace learns that the kindness of strangers is relative. But she harbours a fatal secret that will make the people of Dogville regret their sinister ways.
