Since the 1980s, Amadou & Mariam have established themselves as major figures in contemporary West African music, reaching millions worldwide with a style immediately recognizable. Both blind, they developed a unique approach to music, grounded in listening, gesture, and intuition.
Amadou et Mariam : Sons du Mali follows the artists as they work on a new album and prepare for a major homecoming concert. Between studio sessions, rehearsals, and life on tour, the film paints a portrait of a duo driven by infectious joy and an unwavering faith in the power of sound to bring people together.
