VISIONARIES: CHRISTOPHER NOLAN
Cinéma du Musée is proud to present a retrospective of some of Christopher Nolan’s most memorable works.
A master of non-linear time, parallel editing, and subjective temporality, Nolan has redefined the modern blockbuster, the superhero film, and cinematic storytelling in the 21st century. From the raw intensity of FOLLOWING (1998) and MEMENTO (2000), to the iconic and epic visions seen in INCEPTION (2010), INTERSTELLAR (2014) and DUNKIRK (2017), without forgetting the critical and commercial successes of THE DARK KNIGHT trilogy (2005, 2008, 2012), this retrospective celebrates the work of one of the most influential visionary filmmakers in contemporary cinema.
To close the event, THE DARK KNIGHT trilogy will be presented as a one-day-only marathon on Sunday, July 13, in partnership with Montreal Comiccon.
Christopher Nolan's latest film, THE ODYSSEY, will screen at Cinéma du Parc starting on July 17 with French subtitles.
This event is part of the launch of a recurring series, VISIONNAIRES, which will feature retrospectives of filmmakers and other film professionals who have left their mark on the cinematic landscape through their style, perspective, and incomparable legacy.
