Psychoanalytic Projections
Cinéma du Parc x McGill Psychiatry Residents’ Association
What can movies tell us about our dreams, our desires, our relationships? What can movies tell us about ourselves?
One of the oldest traditions in film criticism has been the psychoanalysis of cinema. Whether by exploring the hidden fantasies of filmmakers or by turning the examination back upon the viewer, psychoanalysts have long used movies to shed light on our complex inner worlds.
Join us for a film series introduced by McGill psychiatrists, followed by an informal discussion that combines the cinematic and the clinical after the screening.
Come see what’s on your mind.
