Festival du nouveau cinéma

For its 55th edition, the Festival du nouveau cinéma invites you to join us from October 8 to 18, 2026, for 11 days of discovery, encounters, and cinema in all its forms. Since 1971, the FNC has explored new directions in cinema while supporting those who create them. This year’s program brings together emerging voices, established filmmakers, bold works, and experiences that push the boundaries of the big screen.

Among this edition’s highlights, the FNC will present Atom Egoyan with an Honorary Louve, celebrating the acclaimed Canadian and international filmmaker’s remarkable contribution to cinema. They will also welcome Lebanese artist and filmmaker Ali Cherri, as well as Adrienne Barbeau, an iconic figure in genre cinema.

Special events, including Matrix Night, will extend the Festival experience beyond the screenings. Through FNC Industry, the Festival also brings filmmakers and industry professionals together to support emerging talent and help shape the future of cinema.
