Recognized by the Guinness World Records as the largest jazz festival in the world, the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal has been bringing together music lovers from around the globe for over 40 years. Over the course of 10 days, the festival presents concerts and fosters encounters between established artists and emerging voices in jazz.

For this edition, we are presenting three documentaries dedicated to artists who have left a lasting mark on the history of music.

We begin with AMADOU & MARIAM, THE BLIND COUPLE FROM MALI by Ryan Marley, which explores the journey of Malian duo Amadou & Mariam, key figures in contemporary West African music. Next, CHASING TRANE by John Scheinfeld delves into the life and work of saxophonist John Coltrane.Finally, MILES DAVIS: BIRTH OF THE COOL by Stanley Nelson looks back at the career of musician and cultural icon Miles Davis, renowned for his profound influence on jazz.
