The 2026 European Union Short Film Festival expands across Canada

After more than a decade in Ottawa and a notable first edition in Montréal, the Festival grows in 2026 with a multi-city edition presented in Ottawa, Montréal, Winnipeg, and Québec City.

The program features 27 short films from various European Union countries, presented over four evenings, offering a rich and varied glimpse into contemporary European cultures and perspectives.

Led by the Delegation of the European Union to Canada and its partners, the Festival highlights the importance of cultural dialogue between Canada and Europe.

This edition also marks the 50th anniversary of the Delegation of the European Union to Canada and is part of Europe Month celebrations.

More than a series of screenings, the Festival is a space for exchange and discovery.

Long live cinema, and enjoy the festival!
