About the Film
Directed by Antonin Beaudry, the two films trace General Charles de Gaulle’s journey during the Second World War, his involvement in the French Resistance, as well as the decisive events that shaped his fate and that of France. The cast includes Simon Abkarian, Niels Schneider, Simon Russell Beale, Florian Lesieur, Benoît Magimel and Mathieu Kassovitz. The first part received widespread acclaim when it premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2026.
